The award goes to an entrepreneur or company that has taken a new idea or concept into a finished product or service. They have dared to test new ways and offered a unique product or service. The business idea is scalable and can change the market within its industry and in the long run create profitable and viable business also internationally. This year's Startup can be found in all types of industries. The prize is awarded by the City of Malmö and Sydsvenskan.
